She looked down at her waist, unbelieving that in a matter of weeks, it would disappear completely. They had used protection, doubled in fact. How did this happen?

She shook her head. Of course, she knew how it happened. She just couldn’t believe it had. It figured it would happen the one and only time she and Temper ever did anything. It was how her luck always fell.

She stood up from the padded chair, and looked around. She smiled as her eyes fell on one wall. It was full of pictures of her siblings, all seven of them, including their spouses and children. She was the only one who hadn’t found “Mr. Right” and reproduced. She constantly heard grief from her mother.

She frowned as she realized that she was going to have to tell her mother that she was pregnant. That wasn’t going to make her mother beam with pride. She wasn’t married. Hell, she wasn’t even involved with Temper. It had happened just hours after she had found out that her father was dead from a heart attack.

She lifted her hands above her head in a stretch. Slightly arching her back backwards, she felt a small pop and sighed in relief. Putting her arms down, she reached behind her with one hand, and rubbed the spot.

Yes, it’s a continuation of the A Piece of Her Heart series. No, I haven’t finished the first one, but I had to get this out of me brain or else it was going to explode on me!!
